Buddleia 'wisteria lane'
This fantastic fairly new to the market Buddleja is very tolerant of poor conditions. Best in well drained soil and full sun.
Relatively compact deciduous shrub an unusual hybrid form producing massive long pendent deep lilac flower spikes upto 60cm long, reminiscent of Wisteria with a weeping appearance when in flower. Honey scented. Strong grower and tolerant of most conditions.
can be pruned hard to control size, shape and encourage fresh flowering growth. Best done in early spring, but additional partial pruning can be done after flowering in autumn to prevent winter wind damage.
