Olearia semidentata 'Henry Travers'
I'm always a big fan of Olearias and this one is no different,
lovely evergreen shrub with lance-shaped grey-green leaves and daisy-like lilac flowers with a purple centre in summer. Exceptional wind resistance even when young
Suited to a coastal garden
This plant was introduced to Ireland as Olearia semidentata in 1908, but is now believed to be a hybrid between Olearia semidentata and Olearia chathamica, which has coarser toothed leaves, both of which are native to the Chatham Islands, New Zealand.
